Removal of calculus (tartar): Calculus is hardened plaque that has been left on the tooth for some time and is now firmly attached to the tooth surface (does not come off with regular tooth brushes). Once calculus is formed (above and below the gum lines) it can only be removed with special dental instruments.

Removal of plaque: Plaque, aloso known as "Colony of bactaria" is a sticky, almost invisible film that forms on the teeth. This colony of living bacteria is always growing with food debris, and saliva. The bacteria produce toxins (poisons) that inflame the gums. If not treated/removed; this inflammation is the start of periodontal disease!

Teeth polishing: During this step our hyginist remove stain and plaque that is not otherwise removed during tooth brushing and scaling. Once polishing is done, you'll really feel clean even without looking into the mirror.
